 Continuous Chest Compression CPR,

Heimlich Maneuver (choking) & AED Operation

Continuous chest compression CPR is a crucial lifesaving technique that prioritizes the delivery of uninterrupted chest compressions to ensure that blood continues to circulate effectively during a cardiac arrest situation. This method is particularly beneficial because it simplifies the traditional CPR process, allowing bystanders to respond quickly and confidently without the added complexity of performing mouth-to-mouth ventilation. The Sarver Heart Center at the University of Arizona strongly endorses this approach due to the proven successes and the ease with which  it  can  be  learned  by  individuals  of  all  backgrounds.

In addition to teaching continuous chest compression CPR, the Save A Life class offers participants the opportunity to learn other essential emergency response skills. This includes the Heimlich maneuver, which is vital for addressing choking incidents, as well as how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). By equipping participants with this comprehensive set of skills, the class ensures that they are well-prepared to handle a variety of emergency situations with confidence and competence.
