Sabino Springs, in parnership with Sky Island Alliance, started to restore the Rock Ledge Spring in our community in June 2024 via a 3 year grant secured by Sky Island Alliance. A hardy group of over 70 volunteers along with Sarah Truebe & Bryon Lichtenhan of Sky Island Alliance have been clearing the area  Arundo donax  that has been growing at the spring for over 50 years.  The Arundo roots have 5 layers and in well established areas are 24″ deep. Restoration of this spring is truly a labor of love and is a hidden gem in our neighborhood!
